Encounter Singapore is a storytelling platform built on one simple belief: that heritage isn't locked away in a museum. It's in the shophouse optical store that still fixes glasses the way it did in the 1940s. It's in the pau shop with a mother dough older than most of its customers. It's in the street games your grandparents played, and the coffee blend that's travelled further than most of us have.

Every story we publish is grounded in real research, pulled from the National Library Board, National Archives of Singapore, BiblioAsia, Roots.sg, and NewspaperSG.
